Ok – who’s been to Long Island City? It sounds like a far-off land, but it’s NOT – it’s only one stop on the 7 train from Grand Central! Mind blown. Long Island City is kinda like being in a “small town” or suburb except you have the most incredible view of the island of Manhattan from the other side of the East River.
We ventured to Long Island City to check out Italian joint, Tutti Matti, and when we tell you it was 10 minutes from Grand Central to our table, we’re not lying. You could easily hop over for lunch, or head over after work for some pizza and drinks.
Whenever we try a new restaurant we reallllly attempt to control ourselves and not eat everything in sight, but…easier said than done when you’re served a campagnola pizza with the freshest ingredients, spaghetti with basil, raviolli stuffed with mushrooms and the most amazing creme brulee. Tuttu Matti is a foodie’s dream, and we suggest you check it out ASAP!
