Planning a Caribbean vacation can be overwhelming – there are so many options! While you can’t really go wrong, why not leave your next trip up to the stars? That’s right, call us crazy but we’re planning our next Caribbean escape based on our Zodiac signs.
Capricorn – St. Kitts
Capricorn is an earth sign, so getting out into nature in a place with lush scenery, while also having time to relax is ideal. St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino, is the best of both worlds – zip-line through the rainforest or enjoy an exhilarating hike up a volcano. When you’re ready to relax, head to the beach with an island-inspired cocktail, indulge in a spa treatment, or roast s’mores at the beach bonfire.
Aquarius – Costa Rica
Though not technically an island, Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast is perfect for Aquarius who hate touristy vacations and crave adventure. Stay at Banana Azul and you’ll be in the heart of the jungle with easy access to exploring this undiscovered piece of the island.
Pisces – Aruba
Pisces thrive as soon as they feel the mist of an ocean-breeze, yet also need more than a beautiful beach to feel stimulated. Plenty of watersports and island excursions make Aruba the place for Pisces to getaway. Take a jeep tour or bond with local islanders on a Jolly Pirates cruise.
Aries – Grand Cayman
Aries are natural leaders and thrill seekers who will love exploring Grand Cayman’s pristine reefs, sandbars, and shipwrecks, while learning to scuba dive alongside stingrays, eels, and tarpon. Explore the Mastic Trail, a two-mile, historic trail that leads hikers through a stretch of subtropical forests and make the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa your home base for when you need a moment of relaxation by the pool.
Taurus – Anguilla
Taurus has an eye for beauty and while pretty much every Caribbean island is beautiful, Anguilla is in a league of its’ own. The beaches are pristine and the water perfectly clear. Zemi Beach House is where you’ll want to stay – it’s been ranked as a “hotel that will change your life,” and TBH, it will.
Gemini – Puerto Rico
Gemini’s love an opportunity to talk and socialize, and will thrive in Puerto Rico where they chat up the locals, learn a new language, and enjoy cultural nightlife. San Juan is full of street art, colorful buildings, and locals dancing to street music and El San Juan Hotel has 15 bars – plenty of opportunity to make new friends.
Cancer – Virgin Gorda
Cancers, who love spending time alone will feel right at home on Virgin Gorda. Visit The Baths, a labyrinth of beachside boulders forming a series of pools and seawater-flooded grottoes and stay at Oil Nut Bay – truly a dream hotel with many solo activity options including scuba diving, paddle boarding and complimentary mountain bikes for cycling.
Leo – Jamaica
Leos are famous for their big, bold personalities and an IDGAF attitude. They will love Jamaica, especially the sexy, adults-only Hedonism II – an all-inclusive party destination where the party never ends.
Virgo – Dominican Republic
Virgos are practical, so a no frills, easily accessible destination like the DR is where they’ll want to be. With a ton of all-inclusive options – we like Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro and AlSol Luxury Village – there’s no need to worry about anything throughout the entire trip.
Libra – Cuba
Libra’s seek culture and Cuba is full of it. Stay in a casa particular instead of a hotel, basically a no frills, private room similar to a bed and breakfast, where you’ll meet other travelers and experience the authenticity of the country. While exploring Havana pop into as many bars as you can and chat with owners, bartenders, etc. to truly feel like a local.
Scorpio – Dominica
Scorpios love privacy, so a lesser known island such as Dominica is the place to go. Stay in a treehouse-style villa at Secret Bay – even the hotel name alludes to the peaceful solidarity you’ll experience. And if you start to crave human interaction there are whale watching cruises, cooking classes and night snorkeling excursions available.
Sagittarius – Barbados
The festive atmosphere of Barbados will appeal to Sagittarius, who need constant stimulation and hate being bored. Thanks to Richard Branson, that stimulation will soon extend to the airport – in May 2018, Virgin will open a “Departure Beach” so travelers can maximize their beach time as they wait for departing flights.
