Summer is in full swing and it’s getting hot, hot, hot out there. It’s time for beach reads, rose, and your favorite sunless tanner (SPF people!).
The warm weather also means that you’re revamping your wardrobe; maybe you’re buying another pair of your favorite flip flops or looking for a new sundress.
When the new season begins, and you’re buying new clothes to add to your wardrobe, there are so many new trends, it can be overwhelming. Some trends are just too trendy for their own good, but it’s important to remember that you can always make a trend work for yourself and your personal style.
In 2017, the trends are running wild, and here are some that are EVERYWHERE. Time to jump onboard.
These little scarves are everywhere; you can find high end ones in Nordstrom or a cheaper version in Forever21 either way, everyone is wearing them! You can style them around your neck, on your wrist, or even on your handbag.
Wide Leg Pants
These are making a huge comeback, no pun intended, and before you say no, listen up. There are so many ways to style these; whether you’re running out for errands or going to a night dinner. You can dress them up with heels and a lace top or dress it down with flats and a tight t-shirt! Here’s a very casual, yet inexpensive option from Nordstrom!
Florals for summer? Groundbreaking… But seriously, everything is floral this season! From handbags to t-shirts to shorts, everything is covered with flowers and not in a tacky way. No matter your style, you would definitely be able to incorporate this trend easily into your summer wardrobe. H&M has some gorgeous options!
A trend that has been everywhere in recent months is graphic tees, and it’s not slowing down for summer! Every company is putting their own twist on the trend and you could find something that suits your personality so easily! Even designer graphic tees are making a comeback, that’s right – it’s now totally expectable to rock Gucci shirts (but if you don’t want to pay full price, they are on Etsy!).
Fringed hem pants are in every store you see and all over your Instagram. They add just the right amount of flare to your skinny jeans. You can find this style on Asos.
With summer comes stripes. Stripes are back and better than ever and they’re not just for your boating trips. Tees, tanks, shorts, and pants are all rocking stripes and you can too. Zara has some great options, get Nautical!
These aren’t just for the ball park anymore! Just like graphic tees, there are so many different sayings and images you could pick from. A baseball hat is perfect for running errands or for a casual Sunday brunch with the girls to hide your bedhead! These from ShopRiffRaff are adorable or you can customize your own on Bow & Drape.
We’re going to see this trend go right into the Fall and it’s going to be awesome! A statement sleeve is just that…it’s making a statement. Ruffles, lace, and cut outs are all the rage and it looks gorgeous on everyone. You could try a statement sleeve dress or a cotton shirt, either way, its a simple trend that is making a huge statement.
This is another fun trend that was popular back in the 90s and is making it’s way to 2017. You could either buy appliqués to stick onto your favorite clothing and accessories or buy something with an appliqué already applied, like these adorable Steve Madden sneakers or this neutral tote bag. Kate Spade also has some great little stickers to apply to their handbags and accessories. These add something a little extra special to anything in your wardrobe!
One Piece Swimsuits
This shouldn’t come as a surprise because one pieces have been having a moment for a while. This summer is no different because everyone is rocking a chic one-piece! From fun sayings to cut outs to bright colors, there is a swim suit out there for everyone!
