You know those quaint little spots you walk by every once and a while and EVERY TIME you think to yourself, “I need to go there?” Well that’s how we have been feeling about Olio e Piú for a while now….
This cozy West Village spot sits right on the corner of Christopher St and Greenwich Ave – covering the block with green awnings, open french doors, plenty of outdoor seating and an overall welcoming ambiance…. and we are all about some ambiance. Plus, it’s a great spot for people watching.
A couple of weeks ago we were lucky enough to get some blogger babes together to drink wine, catch up (more like laugh hysterically), and try out the authentic family-owned restaurant. We sat inside for dinner, but the restaurant’s decor has a botanical theme that flows seamlessly from outside to inside, and the west village vibe makes the whole experience feel very homey.
You can even see (and smell!) the goods baking in the hand-crafted Neapolitan style oven.
Here are our top picks from the night!
Polpette di Vitello Ripiene
veal stuffed meatballs / ricotta / arugula / parmesan / tomato
ricotta / white truffle oil / sea salt – THIS IS A MUST
Spaghetti alla Carbonara
