Raise your hand if you are excited to see the latest Well+Good newsletter arrive in your inboxRaise your hand if you are even more excited to see that your bestie gal Kate Citron along with her co-worker Rebecca Willa has curated the latest Adidas Avenue A box on behalf of Well+Good What is an Avenue A box you might ask? It’s a curated , athletic apparel subscription all about style AND performance. The boxes are released only 4 times per year. The Fall 2016 edition is going to be KICK-A$$ and you can find out more about it here.
Kate and I first met as confident college seniors looking for a start in the big city – our friendship began while interviewing for our first full time job at none other than the New York Post. As the story goes for many young bright eyed NYC transplants, the city chewed us up – but it couldn’t spit us out. We weren’t big fish in a small pond anymore, but we knew we were going to make it. Through the transition of jobs, boyfriends and moves, we continue to push each other towards becoming big fish in the huge ocean, and I am grateful for that.
Out Of Office NY and our marketing company Out Of Office NY Network is ALL about supporting local influencers. We love working with strong, passionate women (#girlpower), and I couldn’t be more excited to shine the light on my very first NYC friend who is really making some waves.
It’s no surprise that when I texted Kate and said “Brunch & Crunch is freaking out that you curated the latest Avenue A box,” she had the most positive things to say about the whole experience (that’s just how she is!) #goals.
“It was really exciting to work on a project with such a well-known brand. I especially enjoyed the video shoot for the Avenue A website. I had so much fun speaking about the intersection of fitness, New York City, Adidas and Well+Good—all things I love!” said Citron.
I’m like… “how are things over there (at Well+Good)?”
“Crazy in the best way possible. No day is the same and most of my time is spent brainstorming creative brand partnerships, writing proposals, planning events, meeting with potential clients and speaking with influencers in the wellness space,” said Citron.
Out Of Office, fitness and self care are huge priorities for Kate. Her boyfriend Jared (of whom Brunch & Crunch is a fan 😉 owns a couple gyms in Brooklyn, WillyB CrossFit and L Train CrossFit. It’s safe to say she has fallen in love with Crossfit and the community at the gyms – I can see it on her IG. Kate is also an explorer – trust me – we did a lot of that our first year in the city. Her latest obsession is the infrared saunas at HigherDOSE in East Village, so now I need to check that out!
